How AI Action Points work: what each AI action costs, each plan's monthly balance, top-ups and what happens when you run out.
What Action Points are
Action Points are how Cyndrix's AI features are paid for. Every AI action — a chat reply, a translation, a moderation check, a summary — uses a few points from your server's balance. One balance, one number to watch, instead of a separate limit for every feature.
Your balance refills on the 1st of every month. Points you don't use don't carry over to the next month; top-up points do.
What each action costs
Most actions cost 1 point. Pictures and web searches cost more because they are much more work for the AI than reading text.

Top-ups
Need more before the month is out? Buy a one-time top-up in Dashboard → Billing: Spark (10,000 points), Surge (50,000) or Overdrive (100,000).
- Top-ups are for Premium, Ultimate and Professional. Free doesn't have them, and Nexus doesn't need them.
- Your monthly points are used first; top-up points are only used once those run out.
- Top-up points don't reset at the end of the month — they stay until you use them.
When you run out
When your balance hits zero, AI features pause until the balance refills on the 1st, or until you add a top-up. Everything else in Cyndrix — moderation, levels, tickets and the rest — keeps working as normal. The bot tells members that AI is paused, so nobody is left wondering.
Keeping an eye on it
- Run
/apin your server to see what's left, what's been used and when it refills. - The dashboard shows your balance on the Overview and Billing pages, and warns you when it's running low.
- Draining faster than expected? The usual cause is AI chat switched on in a very busy channel. Keep it to the channels where you actually want it, and only turn on See images and Web search replies if your members use them.
