In-channel AI conversation with memory, thread summaries, and a shared AP balance.

What it does

CyndrixAI talks in your channels. Members can ask it things directly, it remembers the recent conversation so follow-ups make sense, and it can summarise a channel someone has been away from with /summarize.

You don't pick a model. Cyndrix chooses one automatically for the job, so there's nothing to configure and nothing to keep up to date as models change.

See images (optional, off by default) lets it look at pictures. Turn it on in Dashboard → AI and the AI reads an image someone attaches when they mention it, an image on the message they're replying to, and — when someone asks about "the picture above" — the most recent image posted in that channel in the last 15 minutes. Up to 3 images per message, 3 MB each.

Action Points

Every AI feature draws from one shared monthly balance of Action Points — chat, translation, AI moderation, summaries and insights all spend from the same pool, which refills each month. That's deliberate: you're not juggling five separate per-feature limits and discovering the wrong one ran dry.

Most actions cost 1 point. Summaries cost 3, insights 5, and each image the AI looks at costs 2 on top of the reply — a picture is far more work for the AI than the question attached to it, so it is priced that way rather than hidden.

Check the balance any time with /ap, or watch it on the dashboard. If it's draining faster than expected, the usual cause is AI chat left enabled in a busy channel — restrict it to the channels where you actually want it. On Nexus there are no Action Points at all: every AI feature runs on your own provider key.

Setup

1. Dashboard → AI, or run /aichat in the server.
2. Choose which channels AI chat is active in. Start with one; it's easy to widen later and awkward to claw back.
3. Set how much conversation it remembers. More memory means better follow-ups and more points spent per reply.
4. Optionally turn on See images. On Nexus, make sure the model you picked can read images — the key panel tells you which ones can.
5. Point members at /summarize for catching up, and /ap for the balance.
