Welcome & Goodbye
Greet new members with a card or a DM, and post a note when someone leaves.
What it does
When someone joins, Cyndrix posts a greeting with your title, description and an optional banner image. The point isn't the greeting itself — it's the first thirty seconds of someone's membership, which is when they decide whether to read the rules or lurk forever.
So the message can point at three specific channels: your rules, your roles, and the general chat. A new member with three clear links behaves very differently from one dropped into a server with forty channels.
Setup
- Dashboard → Welcome → enable and pick the channel it posts in.
- Choose the message type — a rich card in-channel, or a DM if you'd rather not fill the channel on a busy day.
- Write the title and description, and add a banner image if you have one.
- Set the rules, roles and general channels so the greeting can link them.
- Turn on the goodbye message if you want departures logged.
On a server that gets raided, consider the DM option or pair this with the verification gate — otherwise a join-flood turns your welcome channel into the raid's noticeboard.
