Verification
A gate newcomers pass before they can talk — button, captcha or age check.
What it does
New members land with no access until they pass a gate. They click a button — optionally answering a question you set — and receive your verified role, which is what actually opens the server up.
It stops drive-by raid accounts and bot spam, at the cost of one click from every genuine newcomer. On a server that has ever been raided, that trade is usually worth it.
Setup
- Create a verified role and give it access to your channels. Remove that access from
@everyone— otherwise the gate protects nothing. - Dashboard → Verification: pick the panel channel (visible to unverified members) and the verified role.
- Write the panel title, description, button label and colour, then publish.
- Optionally enable the challenge question — a question and expected answer, which stops naive bots that just click buttons. Kick on failure removes accounts that get it wrong.
Cyndrix's role must sit above the verified role. Pairs well with Anti-Raid: verification stops the trickle, anti-raid handles the flood.
