Trigger phrases that get an automatic reply — FAQs answered without staff.

What it does

A trigger phrase gets an automatic reply. It answers your FAQ without a human — "how do I get roles", "when is the event", "is the server down" — and it answers them at 3am.

Each responder has a match mode, so you choose whether the trigger fires on an exact message or anywhere inside one, and can optionally delete the trigger message so the channel keeps only the answer.

Good habits

• Be careful with loose matching. A responder that fires on any message containing "help" will fire constantly and become noise people learn to ignore.
• Write the reply as the full answer with a link, not a pointer to another channel. The whole value is saving the round trip.
• Review them occasionally — an auto-responder confidently giving last year's answer is worse than none.
